The New Mexico Bar exam, a 2-day exam, consists of the 6-hour Multi state Bar Examination (MBE), two 90-minute Multi state Performance Test (MPT) problems; and six 30-minute New Mexico essay questions.
The 2010 bar exam dates are February 23-24 and July 27-28. The subjects that may be tested on the New Mexico bar exam are:
- community property (New Mexico)
- administrative law
- contracts, including UCC Article 2 sales
- criminal law and procedure
- equitable remedies (remedies)
- evidence
- family law (New Mexico)
- federal jurisdiction and procedure
- Indian law, including federal Indian law, criminal and civil jurisdiction in Indian country, and the Indian Child Welfare Act)
- wills, estates, and trusts
- real property
- torts
- agency (business associations)
- business entities, including partnerships and corporations
- constitutional law
- Uniform Ccommercial Code Article 9 (secured transactions)
